Abstract Objective Amaranths leaves are rich in ascorbic acid and polyphenol compounds which have antioxidant activity. The aim of this study was to evaluate their vivo effect consumption Amaranth leaf extract on activity, catalase enzyme activity H 2 O induced oxidative stress Drosophila melanogaster flies assessed. Results Consumption associated with increased survival exposure o a dose dependent manner melanogaste r flies. concludes that the ethanolic offer protection against hydrogen peroxide-induced stress.
